Welcome! My name is Lajos Fejes. I was born in 1982 in Fehérgyarmat. I began my career in the capital city at the age of 21. My first workplace was the Márványmenyasszony Restaurant, where I came to know a really good expert, “Uncle” Józsi Szántó, who later became my mentor. Sadly he is no longer with us. After a while – looking for new challenges – I had the opportunity to gain professional experience at many famous places, such as the Gundel Restaurant.
I earned the masterchef title in 2015. As the chef of the Márványmenyasszony Restaurant I use modern technologies (sous vide). I mainly represent the Hungarian style and its fusion with international cuisine. I also like French and bistro cuisine. I prefer simple and clear tastes. I think it is really important to use fresh and new raw ingredients, since all these are the keys to making a good dish.
